The Purpose: To log the next year of my life-the ups, the downs, and the in-betweens-in a manner that will let my friends and family know that, yes, I am still alive, even 4000+ miles away.

The Plan: To post pictures, music, food, art, and other new discoveries, along with a written log of my everyday, ordinary or not, life as the year progresses.

Oh Scotland, I Have Fallen for You.

This is to let everyone know that I am alive. And to apologize for the lack in communication...

With my trip to Edinburgh and Glasgow last week, computer access was impossible, and therefore, updates as well...

And this week has been so busy with school work...but I think I am finally getting back on track.

A phone call to my family is owed...

Now, for a real update:

Last week I traveled to Scotland for the week. I absolutely fell in love. In all honesty, Ihad approached this trip with a bit of apprehension...

I had booked a flight, booked a hostel, and knew that it would be cold. Aside from this, I knew very little about my trip, about Scotland; I wasn't sure how I was going to react to Scotland. Scotland was never one of my top must see places. It had never really crossed my mind much.

As soon as I arrived in Edinburgh though, I was taken. The city was absolutely beautiful. The architecture, in my humble opinion, was magnificent. Everything about the city was breathtaking.

I want to go back. I want to live there; I don't care how cold it is...

And believe you me, it was COLD!

Aside from Edinburgh, our trip into Scotland also took us to Glasgow where we spent a day and a night before heading to the beautiful highlands of Scotland.

I really have no words to describe how I felt and what I saw on this trip...

But I have pictures.

Here are a few:

Now, off to class...

More detailed update and pictures of my trip to the Ring of Kerry coming soon!

Missing everyone at home...

  1. Did you get to go inside the castle structure in that second picture? I'm beginning to see that "Emerald Adventure" is as good as you might be able to sum up these experiences you're having. Even then, I'm sure it doesn't fully describe it all. Haha, oh and is that an Ox in that picture? I'm not sure...but whatever it is, it's fuzzy and I want to hug it. Maybe you can bring me back one of them as a pet?
