The Purpose: To log the next year of my life-the ups, the downs, and the in-betweens-in a manner that will let my friends and family know that, yes, I am still alive, even 4000+ miles away.

The Plan: To post pictures, music, food, art, and other new discoveries, along with a written log of my everyday, ordinary or not, life as the year progresses.

Hurrah! to Procrastination

I'm avoiding homework, sitting in a library, and typing away at my blog. I've been staring at a blank page and at a book full of the Canterbury Tales which I should be gaining headway on and am not...

Just a mini update I guess; I have no writing inspiriation (probably a bad thing, since writing and literature are what I like...).

It's finally beginning to feel like Ireland here. It's rainy and cold.
It's been beautiful the past few weeks, to the point where I was beginning to doubt what every one warned me about: that I would be stuck constantly carrying an umbrella, constantly lugging a rain coat and boots around, and never seeing the rays of the sun. Not true.

For the past few weeks it's been beautiful I've seen more sun that I saw in the Winter at home last year. But alas! The spell is over...Rainy Ireland, here you are!

So, updates?

- Heading to Edinburgh and Glasgow in a couple of weeks. Can't wait for the scenery...should be gorgeous.

- I am realizing that while I am not finding Ireland to be exactly what I dreamt it would be, I am smiling at the small things that amuse me every day and learning to take one foot in front of the other, laugh, smile, and make the best of every situation I find myself in.

- I am also realizing that the Sun is beautiful... :P

- I've been thinking of DH a lot lately. Miss his silliness quite a lot. I know you are reading this. Hope you appreciate my tiny dedication to you. <3

- I've also been thinking about how desperately I need to write some email's and update my family and friends on a more detailed level...and come to think of it, I should probably make a few phone and Skype calls too...soon guys! I pormise.

- I need to catch up on some desperatly needed sleep before I can do the aformentioned though...

- My toes are cold. I thought about flip flops today, good thing I opted against them...haha.

- I am in great need of some homework time, so I'd better end this soon...

A real post with pictures and all will be on it's way eventually...

Ciao.

  1. AH!!!!!! YAY!!!!!!!! OMG OMG OMG!

At first I was like...wth is she talking about.^_^ After I read the whole thing my heart kinda stopped! I feel special. :D

Is it really almost always cloudy in Ireland? God...to be honest the more I read about the sceneries and environments you encounter over there the more envious I become. I think in a sense I'm living a trip to Ireland vicariously through you. I'm sure others are doing the same as well so have enough fun for all of us!
Emails and phone calls you know you'll eventually make. Your family and friends will always be on your mind and sooner or later you will get around to writing/calling them. But as much as I applaud procrastination, make sure not to be consumed by the habit. It sucks. I would know. -_-

But I can't wait what you have to tell us about you next adventures in Edinburgh and Glasgow! It sounds like a blast! ( :D I have NO idea where these places are!) But you know we miss you and can't wait for the day you can tell us these stories in person!
