The Purpose: To log the next year of my life-the ups, the downs, and the in-betweens-in a manner that will let my friends and family know that, yes, I am still alive, even 4000+ miles away.

The Plan: To post pictures, music, food, art, and other new discoveries, along with a written log of my everyday, ordinary or not, life as the year progresses.

  1. Hmm...in order of favorites:

    3) Night Gate
    2) Bridge and Moss
    1) Door

There's something about minimalistic art that makes it pique one's senses to a max. So much is left to the imagination. And don't get me wrong, I love the other pictures (If anything, you should be surprised I didn't pick the picture with the most green color in it). But i don't know. I'm looking at that door, and it's just so alluring...kinda of teasing almost. The slanted floor implies to me that there's something different about this location, but the simple color scheme seems to want to contradict that saying "nope, nothing unusual here, you can keep walking if you want..." I can't really see what's through the window, and the door is just so...THERE, so obvious. What's more, I wonder if you've been through that door? If you did, what did you see? Or maybe it's just a place you happened to pass by?
Btw, sorry if this is a ton of rant to read, I'm just sorta typing out thoughts that are popping into my head. But to end on a good note, being in Ireland has also been sharpening your skills as a photographer. Your pictures just keep getting better and better Ms. Carpenter! ^_^
    Take care white one!
