The Purpose: To log the next year of my life-the ups, the downs, and the in-betweens-in a manner that will let my friends and family know that, yes, I am still alive, even 4000+ miles away.

The Plan: To post pictures, music, food, art, and other new discoveries, along with a written log of my everyday, ordinary or not, life as the year progresses.

And so begins the new semester.

A little quieter without lots of beautiful faces that are missed...

I realize that there hasn't really been an update of my life so far.

So here it is:

My Christmas Break was spent with two wonderful ladies whom I love dearly. :) Because of them, Paris and Rome were made magical.

Christmas and my Birthday were well spent with them. <3

We saw so much in these two beautiful cities. Paris was absolutely beautiful and I loved it, but it was cold. Rome was more my cup of tea. Warmer temperatures, cute streets, lovely architecture, heaven.

I want to go back.

Now, it's back to life in Cork. Papers to finish, new classes to attend.

I miss everyone who left last semester. It's strange without our group. It leaves me a little empty.

Dinner dates, movie nights, and nights at the pub continue though...with a much smaller group of people.

I would rather be a little sad now though, than never to have known all the lovely faces that have become so dear to me. A get-together is in order when I get home.

I can't wait.

  1. That reminds me, you know Kirk is in Paris right now? You remember Kirk right? So insane. I wonder what would happen if I were to visit all these places? Something tells me that it would be a comical misadventure worth recording.
On a more pensive note, can you believe its already been half a year? Actually longer than that. You'll be back home in a few months...each month is approximately 4 weeks...so really, you'll be home in a matter of weeks...
Time passes by so quickly. It used to be like this slow moving train that we impatiently sat around for waiting to pass by. Now it's like trying to keep water in your hands. Time is slipping through our fingers or drying up. But the point is, it's going now and it's going fast.
Soon enough you'll be much closer to your valley friends, and that group get-together? It'll be happening. And we'll be listening to all your first-hand experiences attentively.
